Zoyeb Mohammad Zia is a 15 year old and born in CHENNAI. He is an active young boy. When he is 15 year old symptoms of ataxia are seem into him. Later he is diagnosed with spinocerebeller ataxia. It is a rare neuro logical disorder.
It is an incurable disease and only vitamins and supplements are prescribed by doctors. It affects co – ordination, speech, muscles etc and finally the victim is a wheel chair bound. He couldn’t hold anything steady in his hands as it trembled and cannot be able to walk without holding wall for support due to this problem.
For schooling purpose, he went to Asan Memorial Senior Secondary School. There everyone were very supportive and gave him proper guidance. He was a very brilliant student in his school times.
After that he completed he completed his graduation and does masters in MPhil (Zoology) from New College. He has also cleared a state level eligibility test, before landing for a service.
He took teaching as his profession and for him and for him teaching is passion. Today he is an assistant professor of Zoology at New College.
Hence, there is a society that is Bangalore based (Organization for Rare Diseases India) that supports ataxia people.
